  • Weather in the Middle World

With Nan Moss and David Corbin

Woodbury, Vermont   ~~~   June 28 - July 1, 2012

Weather Shamanism is about the shaman’s long-held, respected task of looking after relations between the human community and the beings of Nature.

It is about Power, but not "power-over."

At the heart of Weather Shamanism is Weather Dancing - the essence of the spiritual relationship, its practice and ethics. Weather Dancing is also about the metaphor of the Rainmaker  – of personal growth and spiritual evolution – whereby bringing on rain is secondary to the path of becoming fully human – of stepping into our potential as True Human Beings.

Weather Dancing Level I:  Introduction to Weather Shamanism
-a form of spiritual ecology - a call to those who care about where our world may be heading, and who sincerely wish to safeguard the health of our planet.  Shamans are healers, and our goal in this workshop is to heal our relationship with weather. Through practices of shamanic journeying, divination, attention, and ceremony we work with the Spirits of Weather directly to find out what they can teach us, what they want from us, and how we can work together on behalf of a viable world for all.

Weather Dancing Level II: Weather in the Middle World
-a deepening of our spiritual understanding of the Middle World and our relationship with the spirits of weather. We begin to explore the connection between spirit and form, and where we fit into that dance. For this we need to know more about ourselves, and our potential as “fully human beings.”  In Level II we approach weather shamanism with a high degree of awareness. This awareness, and the respect that it embodies, is essential for relating with the Middle World spirits and powers.

Level II is the gateway to our advanced exploration in community weather shamanism:
